life and work experiences have taught me the skills that a judge needs. My experience in community corrections out of college inspired me to become a lawyer. Being an attorney in private practice taught me advocacy skills. My time at Akron Municipal Court taught me about court administration. My time as a judicial attorney taught me to write legally correct and well reasoned decisions.have heard and rendered decisions in over 8500 cases during my time as a magistrate. Those decisions require me to understand many different areas of the law, including criminal law, fraud, domestic violence,
child abuse, mental health and substance abuse issues, property disputes and complex financial issues.am competent, fair and treat all persons with respect. My experiences in life,
work and the community have prepared me to be an excellent common pleas court judge.believe that being a judge is more than just putting gin hours each day at the courthouse.
